POSITIVE IMPACT
These are pro-bono or self conducted works aimed to empower causes that champion positive environmental and social change.
01. SELF-DIRECTED, POSTER DESIGN, 2023
These posters are a design response to the Conservative Government’s bill enforcing ‘minimum service levels’, which effectively gives them the legal power to sack striking key-workers. The intention was to move audiences to sign the TUC’s petition demanding the Government scraps this anti-strike bill.
My designs reflect on the importance of striking and are directed towards a Gen-Z audience as I think it important that young people know the value of striking in a functioning democracy before it could be taken away. I screen-printed my designs using bright hues to capture the attention of Gen-Z and to satisfy their appreciation for analogue aesthetics.

02. OXWIB, GIF DESIGN, 2022
Oxford University’s Women in Business Society held a panel with B Corporation to consider ‘Is sustainable consumption achievable and what are businesses doing to protect both the people and the planet?’ I designed a gif to be published on social media to publicise this important event.
03. ACCESSIBLE DESIGN, 2021
I designed a short guide to design specifically for audiences with Low Vision. Intending to encourage people to think about what basic needs must be considered to design inclusively to this group. This is no easy job as no single guide can inform how to design for an entire audiences, not when access requirements can differ from person to person. So I affirm that the solution lies in engaging with audiences and listening to their experience because without their insight we will continue producing work with just our own world views.
04. BILLBOARD MOCKUP, YOUNI, 2022
Youni is a social media company asking its users to spend less time online and more time with each other. Youni’s founders understand that university students feel isolated and disconnected from their community. So they entered the scene, providing university communities with a hub to build and boost their societies, groups and events. They make it as easy as possible for students to find their passions and people. The founders asked me to design various billboard mockups which communicate Youni’s values.
05. SELF-DIRECTED, POSTER DESIGN, 2021
This poster reflects on indigenous peoples defence of the earths remaining biodiversity and how their voices should be at the front of climate crisis negotiations.
In 2015 the Paris Accords legally recognised indigenous peoples vital role in fighting climate change. This progress was meant to ensure their involvement in international policies. Yet six years on, at the 2021 Cop26, indigenous peoples voices are still silenced in the UN-led negotiations.
Eriel Deranger, the executive director of Indigenous Climate Action said “indigenous people are more visible but we’re not taken any more seriously; we’re romanticised and tokenised. We’re set up to fail, so that’s where civil society must come in.”
